Modern civilization enables us to enjoy this life, taking advantage of all the achievements of modern science and culture. At the same time, however, it could not deliver us from thousands of diseases which are caused precisely by our modern lifestyle.

What is health? Health is the best way of life.
  • Rational Nutrition
  • Enough movement
  • Regular Life
  • Psychological Balance
  • Energetic health care
  • Health is responsibility. Health belongs to you, your family, our society.

The famous American doctor D. B. Henry, who cures through diet, after 55 years of experience, concludes that toxins that destroy tissues cause each disease. Health starts from the cell! It is the basic unit of life. There are about six trillion cells in the human body. Mechnikov’s theory of chronic poisoning, awarded with Nobel Prize for medicine, says that the accumulation of various toxins inside the body causes chronic poisoning, which is the reason people suffer from various diseases and premature aging. While breathing and feeding, a person intakes more than 37 different types of toxins and the body disposes only 22 of them. In combination with a busy life, irregular diet, stress, constipation and more, things deteriorate further. Depending on age and physical condition, the level of toxins is different. The average amount of toxins in the body of an adult is about 3 to 3.5 kg. accumulated in all organs, blood, lymph, skin and every cell.

How do toxins influence the human body?

    • They weaken the immune system, accumulate nervous tension, cause frequent illness, dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, night sweats, insomnia, memory loss, cold hands and feet.

    Toxins could be carcinogenic.

Modern medicine has shown that cancer is often caused by a cancer causing toxins, accumulated in the body. 70% of tumors are caused by factors related to the environment, among which 90% are associated with its chemical composition.
    • Toxins provoke allergic reactions.
    • Toxins affect enzymes in the human body, skin loses its elasticity, and wrinkles and pimples occur.
    • The fragility of capillaries increases, blood vessels could easily burst, which can lead to cardiovascular diseases.
    • Increase the load in internal organs, causing organ failure.
    • When the toxins in the body reach a certain amount, they reduce the power of the immune system, causing endocrine disruption, changes in blood pressure, glucose, lipids. All this at a time can lead to many life threatening diseases that can turn into severe cases.

How do we understand that there are toxins in our body?

Intestinal toxins come from constipation. Their accumulation and absorption from the intestine leads to a bloated abdomen, flatulence, bad breath, stains, insomnia, mental fatigue and other complaints. Toxins interfere with cell membranes and affect the opening and closing of their pores. This reflects the immunity and makes people more prone to flue or other illnesses, skin becomes gray, has unhealthy appearance with dark spots. The toxins interfere with the blood circulation and blood becomes unable to keep the limbs warm. This affects the amount of glucose, lipids and cholesterol in the blood vessel walls and could lead to arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, body aches, rheumatism, etc. These symptoms are indicative of excessive intoxication and the likelihood of disease process.

Can we clean our body from toxins and prevent their invasion?

Now there is a revolutionary device, which takes care for the health of the whole family. The ion spa foot bath treatment combines the scientific concept of water and ion channels in cell membranes, with the understanding of energy meridians in the body according to the ancient Chinese medicine and cutting-edge electronic technology. It turns ordinary water into ionized that exports the surplus toxins out from the skin, as well as the damaged cells accumulated in the body. The pleasure of the spa is easily attainable by a "water bath" of the feet. The whole process of toxin purification is safe, convenient, fast, effective and visible. The effect occurs within the next few hours and increases the use of this advanced technology.

Each and every living matter is consisted of cells. The number of cells in the human body is as huge as the number of the stars in the galaxy - about one hundred thousand million. The various cells – e.g. muscle, kidney nerve cells – act together in a single complex system. The Chemistry Nobel Prize winners in 2003 Peter Agre and Roderick MacKinnonhave fundamental contribution in understanding cell functionality, because of their discovery and theory of water and ion cell channels. The fantasy world of molecular machines reveals itself before the eyes of both scientists: channels, barriers and valves - elements necessary for cells to their functions.

The discovery by the two scientists explains how salt (ions) and water are transported outside and inside the cells of the body. They give as an example the way kidneys recover water from primary urine and how electrical signals in our nerve cells are generated and disseminated. This is extremely important for the study of many diseases related to kidney, heart, muscles and nervous system.

Water goes through the cell walls, even only for maintaining the cell pressure. The appearance and function of the "pores" of the cell membrane through which water molecules pass, remain one of the classic unsolved matters of biochemistry for long time . That is until 1990 when Peter Agre discovered the first water channel. He called them aquapores.

Water molecules are not the only units passing in and out the cell. There is a need of coordination, "communication" between the cells, so they could be able to function as something more than a biological mass. The signals sent to and between cells consist of ions. For example, the brain signals include such chemical reactions. Information is passed from cell to cell via chain of nerve cells that interact with chemical signals and ion flow.

In 1998 Roderick MacKinnon succeeded for the first time to show how ion channels in the cell membrane looked like- an achievement which, together with that of water channels (aquapores) reveals completely new areas in biochemistry and biology.

Agre and MacKinnon’s discoveries are of great importance for medicine. A large number of diseases are due to malfunction of the water and ion channels in the human body. The knowledge about the appearance and performance of the water and ion channels opens new opportunities for developing medicines that are more effective.

“The way in which man was created, the way in which diseases come, the way in which a person heals, the way in which disease developes; the theoretical and healing basis lay in the Twelve Meridians. Life and death depend on the meridians. Diseases can be treated by these meridians.”

What are energy channels, called by the traditional Chinese medicine - energy meridians?

According to the ancient Chinese medicine - the meridians (the energy channels) are a complex network of branches located symmetrically under the skin or deep in the body. The locations where the meridians reach the skin surface are called. biologically active (energy, acupressure, acupuncture) points. Besides the 12 main meridians, there are 8 additional ones, called lifesaving, which provide the proper flow of energy in case any of the main meridians does not function normally. Some branches of different meridians intersect at one point and through its stimulation can be influenced the course of energy in more than one meridian. According to modern science - there is plenty of moving electrons and ions in all cells and biochemical processes of a living organism - this is one of the present phenomena of biology. In the process of metabolism all biological organs generate electricity - muscle, heart and brain power with different voltage, e.g. the voltage of heart electricity is 90mV, and for the brain electricity - 60mV. Since the body is conductive, the bioelectricity runs into a specific direction like a river - as one complete channel system, which covers the body.

    Channels and Pathology

Over the years, the human body accumulates huge amount of toxins, that cause damage to the cells, the cell membranes change and lose their natural ability to release toxins. Toxins accumulate in the membranes, this reduces their bioelectrical resistance and they deviate from normal values. The accumulation of toxins in the cells and the inability for normal circulation of bioenergy inevitably leads to the occurrence of disease by reducing the natural resistance of the organism, then the so-called symptoms of semi-health occur (transitional state between health and disease, characterized by fatigue, drowsiness, frequent headaches, inability to recover after a rest, lack of tone and energy, stress, irritability, sleep disturbances, etc.).

    Energy channels and Diseases

The course and strength of bioenergy are violated, depending on the extent of the disease, which affects cellular metabolism. This can lead to pathological modification of the cells and their functions. According to the ancient Eastern medicine, that also leads to a change in the color and sensation in the areas of the acupunctural points (the points of intersection of two or more energy meridians). Every experienced Eastern diagnostician can diagnose diseases in accordance to these points.

The Ion Detoxification Foot Bath is the latest device of the present generation, which combines the most vanguard knowledge about the ion and water channels (aquapores) with the modern nanotechnology and the Eastern doctrine of meridians. The appliance is designed for cleansing the body of toxins and slag, and the process is done by ion treatment on a cellular level. It is obvious that the discharge of toxins from the body leads to faster recovery from illness, increases metabolism, improves brain activity, improves sleep quality , releases the body from nervous tension, reduces cholesterol in blood, decreases the existing plaques in blood vessels, normalizes blood pressure, releases unnecessary substances from the major body organs - liver, lungs, kidneys, bones and tissues are cleaned from the toxins and heavy metals accumulated in the body and helps in the fat burning process.

People feel better physically and mentally after several procedures, but after the first one, they are able to assess the difference in the state of their bodies.

The Ion spa foot bath set includes also a bamboo belt – a device, emitting infrared rays - and supplies for physiotherapy and massage -massage patches and massage slippers.

The bamboо belt transmits infrared rays that warm the body, reduce pain and tension in muscles and joints, cease cramps, activate blood circulation and metabolism, etc. This belt is proved to rejuvenate cells and their biological regeneration.

The physiotherapy massage tools can be used separately and help acupuncture specialists.

The Ion spa foot bath set is suitable for domestic use and for professionals in spa and beauty salons.

Operation of the ion detoxification footh bath.

The body is composed of single cells. The cell consists of cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus. Membrane is the important channel through which the substances inside and outside can flow freely. It ensures a balanced environment in the cell. When the cell membrane potential is between 70-90mV, cells can exchange material very well and dispose of toxins completely.

Over the years the human body, accumulates huge amounts of toxins that cause damage to the cells, the cell membranes change and lose their natural ability to release toxins. The human body has conductivity. The detoxifying element of the ion cleanse foot bath (called by us electrode), immersed in a container of water with salt feet, the hand on which a special bracelet is set - all this becomes a loop, which creates conditions for ionization of water molecules and the formation of an electric field water. Feet are surrounded by ionizing water and create an electrical field which effectively stimulates Na + / K + pump of the cell membrane. This way maintains the normal function of the cell membrane, which in turn restores and enhances its detoxification properties. The ion channels in the cells open.

Fig. 1 The membrane channels are open
The ion detoxification footh bath, ionized water and human body become a closed conductive circuit with normal bio energy. The toxins accumulated in the cells, electrically charged and influenced by the water potential through the process of osmosis are released in the water from all 20.000 pores on our feet.

Fig. 2 The toxins in the cells are released
The water is colored due to the ion reaction – and the detoxification becomes visible. The result can be checked with blood or urine tests before and after the procedure. During the process of detoxification the body releases harmful poisons, chemicals, waste substances. So with the help of water detoxification without the use of drugs and stressful diets, the body is stimulated to cleanse itself. The use of the ion spa foot bath is easy and requires no special preparation. Foot bath with detoxification increases body energy (mental and physical), vitality and stamina.

Often the effect of the ion spa foot bath is compared with the one of continuous barefoot walking on the beach or a river bank or a walk in a pine wood. The reason is that these places are with high levels of negative purifying ions.

According to reflexology, each foot is a channel through which the body attempts to cleanse from toxins and other substances that are accumulated in different parts of our bodies. During the foot bath, feet are subjected to the purification process, as water interacts with the electric current and magnetic field structure. This procedure ensures the proper purifying rate, which is necessary for cells to return to their health condition and to discharge toxins that have been accumulated in them over the years. The detoxification procedure enhances the effect of other therapies.

After thorough research for more than three years in U.S. laboratories and surveillance of more than 30 000 people, it may be concluded that the ion detoxification foot bath has no side effects on the body. Since the principle is to use clean water and physiological method of detoxification - the whole process is safe, convenient, effective, quick, visible, measurable and without any side effects.

Water passes through cell walls in order to maintain the pressure in the cells. Information about that exists from a long time. The appearance and function of these "pores" of the cell remain for long one of the classic unsolved matters in biochemistry. That is until 1990 when Peter Agre discovered the first water channel and that everything else in the living cell is also protein.

Water molecules are not only units of passing inside and outside the cell. To enable hundreds of thousands of millions of cells to function as a biological mass, there is a need for coordination between them. The signals sent to and between cells consist of ions or small molecules. This launches cascades of chemical reactions that make our muscles function, for example, our eyes to moisten – i.e. full control of our body functions.

The signals in our brains also involve such chemical reactions. A chain of nerve cells, which interact with chemical signals, passes ion flow information from cell to cell. These waterways are also known by the name aquapores.

In 1998 Roderick MacKinnon succeeded for the first time to show what ion channels at atomic level are - an achievement which, together with that of Agre’s water channels (aquapores) reveals a completely new areas in biochemistry and biology.

Agre and MacKinnon’s discoveries are of great importance for medicine. A large number of diseases are due to malfunction of the water and ion channels in the human body. The knowledge about the appearance and performance of the water and ion channels opens new opportunities for developing medicines that are more effective.
Aquapores are used in modern cosmetics as a channel through which skin supplies with substances and hydrates.

    Figure 1.
A cell membrane between the cell and the outside world parts the cell from other cells as well – it is far from an impenetrable shell. It is "perforated" by different channels. Many of them are specially adapted to the specific type of ion or molecule and do not allow another type to pass. There is a water channel on the left picture and an ion channel on the right.

In the middle of the XIX century it had already been clear that there must be pores in the cell membrane, allowing water and salt streams to move. In mid-1950 years, it became clear that water moves rapidly within and outside the cell through pores that admit water molecules only. Over the next 30 years the process was studied in details and reached the conclusion that there must be some sort of a selective filter that prevents ions to pass through the cell membrane, while the neutral water molecules pass freely. Thousands of millions of water molecules pass in a single channel per second. Although it was known until 1992 nobody has been able to explain how this molecular mechanism looks, i.e. to identify which protein or proteins form the actual channel.

In mid-1980s Peter Agre explored different membrane proteins of red blood cells. One of them he found in the kidneys. Having defined the peptide and the DNA sequence, he realizes that it must be the protein, which many have seen before – a cell water channel.

    Figure 2.
Peter Agre’s experiment with cells containing and not containing aquapores. Aquapores are needed to make the cell permeable and due to the water passage bulging is registered.

    What is osmosis?

The liquid pressure in the cells of plants and animals is maintained through osmosis. In this process small molecules (like water) pass through a semi-permeable membrane. If the membrane does not let macromolecules or salts, that are in higher concentration, to pass on the other side, then small molecules (water) will pass on that side, trying to "distribute" substances that can not pass through the membrane. The osmolality is usually the reason for the cells to bloate and become hard, as in a flower stalk, for example.

Peter Agre also knew that mercury ions and heavy metals prevent all cells from absorbing and releasing water, and an experiment showed that mercury ion cells behave the same way with the protein cells he found. This made him believe his search for the protein was over . He named it „aquapore”.

How does the water channel work? Form and Function

In 2000, Agre and his colleagues presented the first pictures of a 3D aquapore structure. It became possible to trace in details how water channels work with this information. How did they let only water molecules, but do not let other molecules or ions? Membranes, for example, do not allow protons (elementary particles with positive electric charge) to pass. This is a very important fact, since the difference in concentration of protons inside and outside the cell is a cell based system for energy storage.

Selectivity is a fundamental characteristic of the channel. Water molecules squeeze through a narrow channel, directed by the local electric field, formed by the atoms of the channel wall. The protons (or H3O+ions) are blocked on their way and rejected because of their positive charge

    Figure 3.
The passage of water molecules in aquapores AQP1. Due to the positive polarity in the middle of the channel, the positively loaded ions such as H3O+, are diverted. This prevents flow of positive charge in the channel.

Medical importance of the water channels.

Over the past 10 years, water channels are subject to extensive research. The aquapores turned out to be one big family. Such as in bacteria, plants and animals. Until now only in the human body were discovered at least 11 different variants of aquapores. The function of these proteins is studied in details with a focus on their role in the physiological processes. In the human body the water channels play an important role, especially for the functioning of the kidneys.

Our kidneys are two amazing organs, which serve us in various ways. They regulate our blood pressure and are engaged in the production of vitamin D. But their most important function is to dispose of the toxic waste from the body and keep all the valuable components and blood proteins in the body. Healthy kidneys perform this important activity, using millions of filters called glomerulus. Each glomerulus is a microscopic sphere of capillaries (tiny blood vessels ) through which blood is filtered with incredibly high selectivity for water, ions and other small molecules. This fantastic selectivity is achieved thanks to the inner porous shell, with which the capillaries are coated, and is called the basal membrane.

About 1.3 liters of blood is filtered by the human kidneys every minute, and every day - about 180 liters. All this liquid is reabsorbed through a series of mechanisms so that one day only 1 to 1.5 liters of urine is released outside. Primary urine goes from the glomerulus to a spiral tube, where about 70% of its water is reabsorbed by the AQP1 aquapore. At the end of the tube, another 10% of its water is reabsorbed through such an aquapore, AQP2. Sodium, potassium and chloride ions are absorbed in a similar way. The antidiuretic hormone (vasopressin) stimulates the transport of AQP2 to the cell membranes of cells from the tube wall and thus increases the reabsorption of water from urine.

Agre examined the hypothesis in a simple experiment (Fig. 2) where he compared cells which contain protein and those that do not contain it. When cells are placed in aqueous solution, those which contain the protein absorb the water from the protein solution by osmosis and inflate, while the other cells which do not have this protein do not respond at all. Agre conduct studies with artificial liposome cells that are like a bubble surrounded by water and filled with water. Liposomes became permeable for water, if this protein is placed in their cell membrane.

Cellular signals with salt! The first physical chemist, the German Wilhelm Ostval (Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1909) suggests in 1890 that the electrical signals measured in a living tissue can be caused by moving ions inwards and outwards through the cell membranes. This electro-chemical idea became popular. The idea of the existence of something like narrow ion channels appears for the first time in 1920. Two British scientists Alan Hodkin and Andrew Huxley made a major breakthrough in this direction in the early 1950s and received the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 1963. They showed how an ion transported a signal through the membrane of a nerve cell and was transmitted from nerve cell to nerve cell. The basis of these reactions involved mainly sodium and potassium ions Na+ and K+.

So about 50 years ago, people already knew about the central functions of the ion channels. They must also have selectivity - to allow only one type of ions to pass on the other side and repel others. Also, this channel should be able to "open" and "close" and sometimes to conduct ion in one direction only. How this molecule mechanism work remained a mystery for a long time.

    Selectivity of the ion channels

In 1970 it was known that ion channels are able to pass only a certain type of ions because they have something like an "ion filter". Of particular interest to scientists was to discover why some channels allow only potassium but not sodium ions to pass through. Scientists suggest that oxygen atoms in the protein play an important role as "substitutes" of water molecules that surround the potassium ions in aqueous solution and they should be exempted in entering into the channel.

Scientists found it hard to prove this hypothesis because it has been difficult to determine the structure of membrane proteins and that of ion channels with an X-ray crystallography.

Help came unexpectedly. The biochemist Roderick MacKinnon turnd to medicine and became a doctor. After working as a general practitioner for several years, he was attracted by the ion channels and began a research in this area. Realizing that better and higher resolution structures were needed to understand how ion channels work, he began to learn the basics of X-ray crystallography. Only a few years after that he amazed the scientific community by presenting a structure of an ion channel. This happened in April 1998.

The first map of an ion channel – an atom by atom.

In 1998 the first accurate high-resolution structure of an ion channel was presented, called KcsA, from the bacterium Streptomyces lividans - MacKinnon revealed for the first time how the ion channel works at an atomic level. Now the ion filter, which passes potassium ions and stops sodium ions could be studied better. It is now possible not only to explain how ions pass through the channels but also could be seen in the crystal structure - surrounded by water molecules just before they lead the ion into the channel and how they found water on the other side of the filter (Figure 4)

MacKinnon explains why potassium ions but not sodium ions are allowed through the filter: The reason is simple - because the distance between potassium ions and oxygen atoms in the filter is the same as that between potassium ions and oxygen atoms of water molecules surrounding it when it is outside the filter . So it can "slide" through the filter without a problem. Thus, the sodium ions, although smaller than the potassium ones may not pass through the channel. Sodium ions simply do not "fit" the oxygen atoms in the filter and therefore remain in the aqueous solution. The ability of channels to "strip" potassium ions from the water molecules and to leave them pass – does not require any energy - and is a kind of selective ion transport catalyst.

A cell should be able to control the opening and closing of the ion channels. MacKinnon shows that this is achieved through a door at the bottom of the channel that opens and closes by a molecular "sensor". This sensor is located near the door. Sensors of ion channels respond to different signals - eg. increasing the concentration of calcium ions, the voltage of the cell membrane, or by connecting a signal molecule of some kind. By connecting different sensors to different ion channels, the nature has created channels that respond to many different signals.

    Figure 4.
The ion channel allows the passage of potassium ions but not sodium. The oxygen atoms of the ion filter form environment similar to the one outside the filter for the potassium ions. The cell may also control the opening and closing of the channels.

Ions outside the cell membrane are attached to water molecules with certain distance to the oxygen atoms of the water molecules.

About the potassium - the distance to the oxygen atoms is the same as the distance to the oxygen atoms of water molecules outside the channel.
Sodium ions, which are smaller do not "fit" the distance to the oxygen atoms in the channel.
